The Regionals Fever Is Here

It seems awkward to post this early about the Regionals but hey, one month is short time (especially for me).

Earlier, we had a conference on Ym regarding the team’s plans for the event like when to buy the plane tickets, the playtests, etc. The target is still Cebu. We had known that the fare price of the ferry going to Cebu has got higher so we have decided to go via plane instead. We’re still comparing the plane tickets on which one is the cheapest. Read more

While getting bored (again) while waiting for a new client interview, I decided to look at our old company forum and see if there are posts I haven’t read before when it was active. Unfortunately, there isn’t so I just look around and stumbled into this post by an officemate. I think this is worth the share so I’ll repost it here.

I’ve stumbled on zesty’s post at the Rumor Mill regarding the current top ranking Magic players in this 2009 season. To recall, we had already four Grand Prix’s and one Pro-Tour which is Pro-Tour Kyoto, and this weekend we will be having another Grand Prix at Singapore.

Playing Magic for almost half of my life has been very memorable and fun of course. The game has brought me not just strategies, creative thinking and innovations but also new friends, colleagues and even long-time buddies. With that, I decided to reminisce some important lessons I have learned in my nine years of being a Magic player/enthusiast. Here it goes: Read more

Work at the Moment: The “Conspiracy”

March 10, 2009 by Mark Ian
Filed under HQ and Office Affairs

Hey y’all. I am sorry I didn’t able to publish some Mtg dosage for quite awhile now. Its because I got really stuck at work. Yeah.. excuses, blah..blah… I know but I think its worth it.

To give you some hint of what I do for a few weeks now, I’ve been studying and doing report on the training videos my client required me to watch. It is a training about PPC Marketing and doing campaigns of CPA Networks. These training videos were from the Arbitrage Conspiracy, owned by two marketing coaches Aymen and Emmanuel.

I’ve been learning a lot so far although its quite boring sometimes to go on a marathon on the training videos. A few things I’ve learned is that you’ve got to have the patience and a good observation on your campaigns.

Its just like playing Starcraft and utilizing each of your resources for maximum output, although I’m not saying its that easy as it is in PPC Marketing. You’ve got to observe every detail. The good thing though is they have provided a few tools and resources to use to help automate some of the work.

I’m currently on Week 9 of the training and I hope I can finish this so that I can do some real action on my client’s pages. I’ve done a few writings of the Google ads for warm up. Its just a disappointment though because most of the affiliate networks I’ve researched doesn’t cover Philippines to their members. I wish they could change their policy in the future. Still, I’ll be looking forward to implement what I’ve learned and have my own campaigns.

Oh and about Magic? Still doing good. Here’s our Top 8 pose last Feb. 28 tournament.

Got 7th on that one, piloting Boat Brew.

Signing off for now…. back to study mode…
