This version of Devotion to Black is the current trend in the Standard metagame. This was initially piloted by Jared Boettcher in a top 8 finish on last week’s SCG Standard Open. It was no surprise that he made to the top 8 again in DC and this time he is with Steve Rubin playing the same deck archetype. It was Rubin though that won the trophy as he defeated Seth Manfield’s Blue White Control in the finals two games to one.
