Deck of the Week: Vengeant Merfolk
ByHey guys. You may be wondering what the decklist will look like based on the deck name I mentioned above. Well, it is actually the creation of a Brazilian MTG player named Sávio Freixiela and he finished 7th place in the 2º Super Standard Tournament in Rio de Janeiro, Brasil. The deck is a typical Merfolks build, except that it has burn for removal. Savio fixed the mana by adding Vivid Creek and Cascade Bluffs to have access to red and be able to splash Ajani Vengeant in the deck. Also, it has three copies of Incinerate in the main and three Vithian Stingers in the sideboard. Check out the decklist below.

lol look what i found about 3 years late! but never late to tell a history:
I wanted to play cryptic command and ajani vengeant in the same deck, but we already had 2 guys playing 5 collors control in the team, and didnt had the cards to build a 3th. So, i thought, thought, thought, and figured to play faries, but it was in my mind that ajani, and I wasnt able to win a single game in trainning. I thought some more while looking through cards, and saw a bealtiful foil lord of atlantis, even tough it wanst anymore std legal, it got me the idea of the seafolks, and i went on build it. It was the sensation of that champ. People laughing about merfolks throwing incinerated torch in boats and stuff
Sad that i only got to find this now, and pretty much sure that no one will get to ready it
Hi Sávio, thanks for the response. As for the deck, you still have the chance to play it in the Modern format.
