Khans Standard Deck Tech: Red Goblins

The current Standard metagame is still open for exploration of the unusual and unique deck archetypes. Today’s deck tech feature was referenced from a list I have found on an article in MTG UK. The deck is called Mono Red Goblins and here is its version one:

There is not a lot of Goblins to work with and there are no cards like Siege-gang Commander which can be our late game play so we have to as fast and aggressive as possible. War-Name Aspirant and Firedrinker Satyr help us fulfill that goal.

Our lone anthem spell is in the form of Obelisk of Urd which let us protect our critters from mini sweeps like Drown in Sorrow. It also avoid the over committing of threats. I have also noticed that the Goblins have the Warrior creature type which War-Name Aspirant also possess so there can be situations that we can just name Warrior to cover all of them with the pump.

The rest of the burn spells are the usual ones from typical Rabble Red decks but I have added Searing Blood specifically to deal with Sorin and his Vampires as I have noticed that he alone can turn the tides in most stand-off situations. As a bonus, Searing Blood also kills off Xenagos walker which recent Red Green builds has been adding in the maindeck.
