Sorin as a Planeswalker in Zendikar

Wizards started to slowly preview one of the planeswalkers in the coming Zendikar set this October with the results of You Decide voting poll. The first preview started with the card art which was really excellent. Wizards never failed to amaze me with regards to card art of upcoming sets. The next preview (which was today) was its loyalty. At first I assumed that Sorin is just a legendary creature but the preview today denied that. See Sorin’s current preview below.

The next preview will be on Wednesday so we have a few days to assume what Sorin’s role in the multiverse. We consider him as a vampire planeswalker but who needs sucking other’s blood when you can walk between planes. I guess it makes the card look badass or something but when we based on that nature of Sorin, I think I can assume his abilities like this.

+1: Target creature gets -2/-2 until end of turn.

-2: Target player loses 2 life and you gain 2 life.

-6: Target player loses 6 six life and you gain 6 life. Put six 1/1 black vampire bat creature token with flying into play.

The first two are somewhat vampire-like abilities and the ultimate ability can be very powerful with a 12 point life swing. It is somehow related though to Sarkhan Vol’s ultimate ability.

What are your guesses of Sorin’s abilities? Hit the comments.
