The Regionals Fever Is Here

It seems awkward to post this early about the Regionals but hey, one month is short time (especially for me).

Earlier, we had a conference on Ym regarding the team’s plans for the event like when to buy the plane tickets, the playtests, etc. The target is still Cebu. We had known that the fare price of the ferry going to Cebu has got higher so we have decided to go via plane instead. We’re still comparing the plane tickets on which one is the cheapest.

The Regional’s tentative schedule will be on May 17 and I think the one and a half month of preparation won’t be enough. Plus that we still have to wait for Alara Reborn for the Standard meta to shapen up. That would be two weeks before Regionals. Based on the current spoilers, I’m guessing Blightning Beatdown will get some upgrades as well as 5CC.

5CC is still doing it good with the top finish at Starcity Games $5k Standard Open last weekend. Here’s the list piloted by Robert Graves.

As for the playtest strategy, we still haven’t decided it yet but the plan is to do some kind of a research on the top tier decks. I’ll go into detail about that next time but for now let’s just cut the story here (before these Page Load Errors start to piss me off. *sigh*).
