The Shards At War

Hey y’all. Here are a few art depicting the effects of the Alara shard’s convergence. The first one depicts Elspeth (I think) getting some blessing to continue fighting with a Bant kingdom burning in the background. This is also the art of the first card in the Alara Reborn set, Ardent Plea.

The next one is a group of Viashinos that is about to devour a smaller of their kind. Probably a 1/1. Lol.

Next is a pair of Nacatl cat warriors battling a group of Jund Goblins. It depicts their savageness and the will to survive a foreign terrain. It is also the art for the card Marisi’s Twinclaws. That’s double strike for you baby.

The fourth pic shows a zombie warrior threshing in a forest of Naya. This is rumored to be the art for Putrid Warrior, a common in the Apocalypse expansion.

The last pic is a scene of a group of Bant knights exploring the mountains of Jund. You can actually see the expression in their faces, wandering and saying like, “Where the hell are we?” Lol.

I can’t really wait to get hold of the block novel after reading a small chapter in an article today at Wizards. The way the boy (which is an illusion) sent by Bolas disrupt and dishearten the residents of the shards is so amazing. If a movie would be made today to show the story of the block, it would surely be a blockbuster hit. I bet you will agree.
