I have routinely done the unboxing of Magic: the Gathering products including those from the previous sets that had already rotated out of the Standard format. That is to have content for my Youtube channel as well as single cards that I can sell later on.

My source of shopping these online is from Shopee and I recently found an online exclusive sale from NeutralGrounds which is one of the retailer stores of Magic here in the Philippines. I bought the Prerelease Kits of Ikoria and Zendikar Rising and then I recorded the opening of the first one below. I do hope more people will watch these kind of videos.

For this blog post, I am sharing my unboxing video of the Magic: the Gathering Innistrad: Midnight Hunt Prerelease kit. This is the second time that I am opening a kit from this set. This is given that there are more Crimson Vow products for sale on the market.

You might ask, why do I spend to buy a product from a previous MTG set?

My attempt here is to try to open all of the currently high-demand cards such as Meathook Massacre and Wrenn and Seven. At their present value, opening one will surely get your money’s worth of the kit. You can find the top Innistrad: Midnight Hunt cards based on the current prices on well-known MTG websites. This is also a way to rebuild our card pool in the case of the local game store returning the face2face tournaments. By the looks of it, the least we can do is at least a Standard semi-competitive deck.

I started uploading videos on Youtube initially intended for my backup files from my digital camera way back in the late 2000s. I did not have hardware storage at that time, and so uploading was my only option. It was not as used to today, where I made it to a full-time web channel of my hobbies and related vlog stuff. That said, I am happy to share that I finally reached the 50,000 views threshold on my Youtube Channel, DeathMarked TV.

The channel contains my main hobbies on Magic: the Gathering Trading Card Game, Ragnarok Online Mobile, and the recent one, bike long ride food trips. When the pandemic started, I gained the time to study the optimization and the methods of gaining growth on your Youtube Channel. I also did some observations, referencing similar channels on trading card games and Ragnarok Online gameplay guides.

As of now, I am still regularly uploading videos, and still observing as to which videos are more appealing to my audience and subscribers. Magic: the Gathering has an upcoming new set & the Rumor Mill is currently on a roll, while Ragnarok Online Mobile recently patched Episode 9: Comodo Island so new game features were available for video content. I admit I am still overwhelmed as to which content I will publish next, and I don’t know if it will be useful or entertaining. Anywho as they say, just upload the things that you like doing, and it will just become a norm and not a chore.

Wrapping things up, I am glad to share this Youtube Channel milestone and inspire me to get better at vlogging and game content creator.
