Back when Extended was still a format in Magic: the Gathering, I built and also shared a few decklist that I found at the Magic League events page. We were also hosting a few Extended tourneys that time so it served as a reference build.

For this week’s deck feature, we’ll be going back to the previous expansions in the Extended format. The deck I’ll present to you is the one named “Demigod Stompy” that got first place in the recent Post-Rotation Extended MWS Trial tournament at Magic-League.com. The deck’s main goal is pretty simple: get a Demigod of Revenge or a Deus of Calamity at turn one and bash your opponents to death. You can do this with a lot of mana accelerators (chrome mox, simian spirit guide) and mana generating spells such as Rite of Flame, Seething Song and Desperate Ritual. Another possible win condition would be an early Goblin beats via Empty the Warrens. I like this deck because you can do alot of mana boost combination on your first three turns depending on the matchup and of course, this being a mono red deck.
