I personally buy Magic: The Gathering booster packs with the enjoyment of trying my luck to hit the good cards specific to a particular set. I also buy booster packs from various sources: one via live selling on Facebook, one from Shopee MTG stores with added discount vouchers, and some from our local game store Pro Reis Place here in Iloilo City.

While buying these various set boosters and draft booster packs, I also plan to record an unboxing and opening video of these so that I can add another video content upload for my YouTube channel. I am happy to do these booster openings despite at times that I am just unlucky and pulling only bulk rares from the packs.

Hey all, Happy Monday. I do hope you guys started your week right whether at work or at home. Anyways, today is another Magic: the Gathering topic. The pack war has been a thing on the FB live selling sessions by various LGS in Manila. The mechanic is very simple. Choose one booster pack for entry and after a definite number of participants have been reached, each pack will be opened one by one and will check on what will be the highest card in the value of that pack. That is, comparing its value in the current price market.

I initially was not interested because I thought that I will lose my pack if I could not hit the highest value out of the group. I then understood that it was worth the risk depending on the set being contested. If there are only a few value cards and if you are able to hit one of them, there is a high chance that you will win the pack war game.
