While spending the rest of the day recovering from asthma, fever and LBM, I have thought to share with you guys what I did during the Dinagyang Festival 2020 last weekend. This will be short two to three blog posts for each day and might not be in the order that happened. I will to detail as possible what new features of the festival were presented. I had to say I did enjoy most of them.

First of was the Ilomination of the heritage buildings at Calle Real street in the city downtown. The lighting of those buildings was partnered by a free concert in the stage located at the corner of Arroyo and Iznart street. The concert featured the three top bands of the country currently: IV of Spades, December Avenue and Ben & Ben. Each was scheduled to perform on each specific night starting Friday.  

I was able to drop by early last Saturday to check out the lightings and here a few of the pics I took.

Kudos to the Iloilo Festivals Foundation Inc. (IFFI) and the City Government of Iloilo for organizing this event.

The prestigious Iloilo Dinagyang will be held this coming January 25-26, 2020 which is just barely two weeks from now. This event is a symbol that cores on the heritage, devotion, and history of Iloilo and the Ilonggos.

Each year, however, features something in these modern times. This year’s list of activities has a lot of varieties and some of them are mostly new. I might try to participate but we shall see with the office schedule.
