Yesterday we held two Standard tournaments at Rei’s place, morning and afternoon sessions to maximize our Saturday time and also to accommodate people who can only play one of the two events. The morning tournament started at around 11 am, with fourteen participants.

My deck for that session was Selesnya aggro which went 2-2 after the four rounds. The top two winning decks were Blue White Flash and Jund Midrange, followed by two Bant Hexproof decks.

The afternoon sessions started roughly past 3 pm after we waited for other players. At this event, I played Mono Green Aggro with the main reference from Raphael Levy’s list from the World Magic Cup. The first two rounds were again unfavorable to me as I lost to Golgari Control and Bant Hexproof. Good thing two wins followed against American Control and Black White Tokens. The final record was again 2-2.
