MTG repacks are pre-made booster packs that are typically sold by third-party vendors, rather than by the official Magic: The Gathering company, Wizards of the Coast. These repack are created by taking cards from various sets, both old and new, and combining them into a new “custom” pack.

The contents of MTG repacks can vary greatly, and they are often marketed as a way to get rare and valuable cards at a lower price point than buying individual booster packs or complete sets. However, because these repacks are created by third-party vendors and not by the official company, there is no guarantee of the authenticity or quality of the cards inside.

Players need to be cautious when purchasing MTG repacks, as there have been instances of scams or fraud where the contents of the packs have been misrepresented or counterfeit. It’s always recommended to purchase Magic: The Gathering products from trusted sources, such as official Wizards of the Coast products or reputable card shops.

The caution of having some counterfeit cards would be reflected in those that have a lot of value in the market, especially those on the reserved list. As for my reason for opening those repacks sold on Shopee online stores, I just trying if it’s worth the value of the Rares and Mythics that they placed on them along with some random commons and uncommon, which I also think I would hit some value.

Watching my favorite Magic: the Gathering Youtubers do some unboxing of the Mystery Box from Walmart, I have been eager to purchase one. They are just random booster packs from the previously released sets along with special promo foils that are massively produced but I think recently have been gaining value i.e. Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, and Beast Whisperer.

Anywho, I have thought I making a local version when I individual booster packs were available on the Neutral Grounds Shopee Mall store where they are selling at P200 each or about 4 USD. The earliest set on their list is Guilds of Ravnica and the recent is Magic Core Set 2021. I decided to buy 5 initials booster packs and did the unboxing video ala Mystery box.
