For trading card enthusiasts, there’s a special kind of joy that accompanies “Magic: the Gathering Mail Day.” It’s not just about receiving a package in the mail—it’s a ritual, a moment of excitement where the promise of rare cards, shiny holographic foil, or long-lost additions to your collection await inside. The anticipation builds up as you carefully slice open the bubble wrap packaging, your mind racing with the possibilities.

But what happens when life gets in the way and you miss that thrill?

The feeling of missing a Mail Day is more than just skipping over an activity—it’s the absence of a moment of pure, childlike joy. For many collectors (maybe including me), opening trading cards is an escape. The rustle of the wrapping, the subtle chemical scent of freshly printed cards, and the hope that your next pull will be something extraordinary—it’s all part of an experience that connects you to a community of like-minded enthusiasts and your passion. Missing this ritual activity feels like missing out on a small but meaningful piece of yourself.

As for me, I would just enjoy watching my previously uploaded MTG Mail Day video series on my channel, reminiscing the feeling of these card loots from color games, live pack openings, and single card purchases. I will also share it with you guys as well. Enjoy!

I decided on my last Magic: the Gathering video for the year 2023 to be that usual. What I mean is that my recent card singles purchases from one seller and some live selling loots from the Forge Hobby North Point shop and that of Liliana’s Realm. That one seller was Jace’s Collections, and he had some foil Lost Caverns of Ixalan card singles on sale and posted regularly on his Facebook page.

As for the live selling loots, Sir Marron of the Liliana’s Realm page provided the assistance of fetching my live pack hauls (a mix of Dominaria United Draft packs, LCI Draft packs, and Wilds of Eldraine Set booster packs) from the Forge Hobby shop and placed it into just one package. A huge thanks for that Sir!

For today’s Magic: the Gathering Mail Day video, I am showing you guys my recent purchase of the components for my Red-White Boat Brew project and that is from one of the MTG online stores on Shopee. I tried to check on the lowest cost of the card components, on the creature cards and specifically the Red-White filer lands.

I found one store, and they had a whole lot of variety of cards but sadly all other card compos I need are not available. Even the uncommon reprints on special sets are quite hard to come by. Anywho, I still decided to proceed with the purchase and checked out the cards. It was just barely a week and they arrived on delivery. Good thing I still have my budget on hand to pay for it, lol.

The contents of MTG repacks can vary greatly, and they are often marketed as a way to get rare and valuable cards at a lower price point than buying individual booster packs or complete sets. However, because these repacks are created by third-party vendors and not by the official company, there is no guarantee of the authenticity or quality of the cards inside.

Players need to be cautious when purchasing MTG repacks, as there have been instances of scams or fraud where the contents of the packs have been misrepresented or counterfeit. It’s always recommended to purchase Magic: The Gathering products from trusted sources, such as official Wizards of the Coast products or reputable card shops.

The caution of having some counterfeit cards would be reflected in those that have a lot of value in the market, especially those on the reserved list. As for my reason for opening those repacks sold on Shopee online stores, I just trying if it’s worth the value of the Rares and Mythics that they placed on them along with some random commons and uncommon, which I also think I would hit some value.

Whenever I scroll on an FB live sell post from the common LGS in Manila, there is the urge to try my luck in opening the good cards from the Magic: the Gathering booster packs of the recently available sets. I just sat there, looking at the monitor and observing each Rares and Mythics opened and projecting the possibility of opening the target cards. Will it be at pile A, B, or C of the current booster box? We will never know unless the buyers decided to open them all.

As of the current, I just needed to open the good cards so as to resell them or to add them to my fire sale card list on the MTG Iloilo FB group.

My recent Mail Day haul was from the various events posted by the UltraElectroMagnetic Shop owned by a good friend, Boss Caesar Famorcan. A big thanks to you, boss especially for the freebies!

The package consists of Color Game hauls of several variances of booster packs Collector packs of Kamigawa, Set Booster packs, Pack Openings on live stream, and single card purchases.
