The Standard Peasant tournament for beginner players was successfully held last Wednesday night, June 11, 2014. Six new players plus a recruit of Carlo went to participate, and we also joined Franco for a total of ten participants. I initially prepared a deck for this event

with the list based on PDCMagic.com. The deck was an all-commons concoction of White Blue Heroics from Theros Block. I made a five-card adjustment with a switch to the uncommon Phalanx Leader, Archetype of Courage, and Nyx-Fleece Ram. Here is the list:

I went 2-1, winning the first two rounds and then intentionally losing to my third-round opponent playing Red White Midrange. I conceded to that round so I wouldn’t be branded as a bully of the new players.
