The card pool updating continues as we gear up for the weekly Magic: the Gathering Saturday Standard tournament at our LGS Pro Reis place. That is aiming for the best deck currently in the format and it is the Ob Nixilis-based aggro midrange decks.

This time, we were able to secure some card pieces for both Black-Red and the Mono White decks which are very hard to buy from the common online store I think. That said, Facebook groups such as MTG Tambayan are essential in checking for the specific card components which you can buy from other players in their online card album.

My teammate Ace is the one who is currently in-charge of building and updating the team’s Standard decks and I am one of the provider of the card components which I bought from pre-orders online and opened from booster packs on random impulse buys and pack prizes. We have just recently the deck builds from the War of the Spark metagame into that of Core Set 2020. Here below are the lineup decks as of this posting.

Simic Nexus switched to Simic Flash
Mono White Aggro converting to Orzhov Vampires

The Simic Flash deck made a high-finish at 3^rd place in the recent Saturday Standard tournament. That said, we needed to at least make into the Top 4 every tournament to acquire pack prize value. Deck builds online are being updated weekly and so we needed to cope up with the card components. I might be able to finish the Vampires deck by Friday which I will test in at the FNM event.
