A few of the Standard decks had several modifications in the past weeks and looking at some of their builds got me interested. One in particular in which I am writing today is the Selesnya (Green-White) version of the Yorion midrange deck. The deck was featured in the Japanese Youtube Channel I’m following and I was able to check on the decklist which I will share below.

Deck
2 Scavenging Ooze (M21)
4 Skyclave Apparition (ZNR)
4 Wicked Wolf (ELD)
4 Yorion, Sky Nomad (IKO)
1 Ugin, the Spirit Dragon (M21)
2 Vivien, Monsters’ Advocate (IKO)
3 Elspeth Conquers Death (THB)
1 Emeria’s Call (ZNR)
2 Glass Casket (ELD)
2 Turntimber Symbiosis (ZNR)
8 Forest (ANB)
7 Plains (THB)
4 Gilded Goose (ELD)
4 Llanowar Visionary (M21)
4 Trail of Crumbs (ELD)
4 Branchloft Pathway (ZNR)
4 Temple of Plenty (THB)

Sideboard
1 Elspeth Conquers Death (THB)
2 Glass Casket (ELD)
1 Scavenging Ooze (M21)
2 Thrashing Brontodon (M21)
1 Ugin, the Spirit Dragon (M21)
1 Charming Prince (ELD)
2 Destiny Spinner (THB)
2 Giant Killer (ELD)
3 Run Afoul (M21)

The deck is halfway using the Food token card advantage with Goose, Trail of Crumbs, and Wicked Wolf. The rest is purely utilizing Yorion’s Blink ability to gain more of the ETB effects of the creatures and enchantments. Here is the video for the short gameplay of the deck.

In every Standard rotation, I am always looking for the build of the aggro decks that have somewhat adopted to the format even it lost a lot of good card from the previous sets.
In every Standard rotation, I am always looking for the
build of the aggro decks that have somewhat adopted to the format even it lost a lot of good card from the previous sets. My top priorities are Black and Red as those are my personal favorites, and then is followed by Green-based aggro decks.

What I liked about some builds is that they were able to
suffice their list even with the constraints of not having enough mana-fixers. Three-color
decks usually face these issues. One particular deck that is worth the mention
is the Winota, Joiner of Forces. Pre-rotation it was under the Mardu colors but
with the loss of the shocklands, the strategy shifted to that of Naya because of
the new Zendikar Rising Pathway dual lands support.

Check out below the deck list played by moto3 in the recent Red Bull Untapped Online Qualifier Japan.
