Having the Ragnarok M 2.0 War of Crystals event under the Team Moon category can be either competitive or just plainly facing other guilds with lesser members. Last January 9th WOC is the latter, though we faced initial resistance from the opposing guild in the MVP area. We maintained the gameplan in facing competitive guilds by executing them even though we were faced with a non-attendance guild.

In the Ragnarok M 2.0 War of Crystals last Sunday, we faced an old adversary guild: HeroesPH. I remembered when I first joined the guild, we were targetting them already by transferring channels to where they are located and then battling them, testing their defense. At that time we were at a complete 100 members and most of us are already strong characters built and equips.

Last Sunday, we were at around 60 plus attendance and it was a close fight with them on gaining control of the center crystal. We also fought another guild, Dancers, that were also trying to dominate the MVP area. It was hard managing the people resource as a slight error will cost us a crystal that is needed to win.

In the Ragnarok M 2.0 – War of Crystals Event every Sunday, the first part of securing the MVP area is very crucial for every participating guild. That is because every four MVP killed secures one crystal gain for the guild. If given that the four guilds are very competitive, it will most likely rely to the MVP kills right after each guild securing at least one Crystal tower that is easy for them to defend.

During our War of Crystals event last August 15th, we made sure to not only secure the nearest MVP area but also took an opportunity to also get the MVP to kill in the other area. Check out the details on the video recap below.

The term “to catch someone off guard” is to surprise someone in a way he or she was not expecting. It can be used in positive, negative, and neutral contexts. The concept of the Ragnarok Online Mobile War of Crystals guild vs guild battle, goes with not only catching the opponent off-guard but also overpowering them with your troops. It is positive if your team is winning, and negative if not. For our guild, we were the latter.

The Ragnarok Online Mobile War of Crystals event usually requires a large number of the guild members who are capable to execute the main strategy, while at the same time resilient in defending the captured crystal and the emperium in their home base. Last Sunday’s expectation of a competitive War of Crystals event was somewhat hampered and not met because of the opponent guilds’ lack of attendance. Thus, the usual gameplay was easily executed.

The Ragnarok Online Mobile War of Crystals is purely a guild effort and strategy. Each of its phases, starting from the MVP arena up to the control of the Crystal towers, depends mainly on the detailed plan of the leader and each of its members. The sustainability in battle then relies on the equips, buffs, skills, and other items that need to be activated during the event. For example, healing items bought at the Cat Cafe guild facility and Weapon Repair Alloys in Exchange are placed in the items’ quick-access slots for easy activation later on.

As my current guild is undergoing the rebuilding process, the descend in the members was expected. We were at 77 members during the War of Crystals event last Sunday, and so our guild leader had to adjust the strategy by mainly protecting the nearest MVP area from our spawning point in full force. Only one party was assigned to guard our imperium and would call for backup if needed.

What I’ve noticed in the Ragnarok Online Mobile War of Crystals event is the hit-or-miss setup with regards to the matchups of the four guilds. In the Team Moon bracket, there are times that you will be facing a strong and former Team Sun guild and at times a mediocre semi-active alternate guild. It depends on how lucky the guild is or how their lottery on the matches works. Either way, your guild’s goal is to capture five crystals as early as possible during the course of the event.

I am sharing below our latest War of the Crystals event recap with my guild, Wonderboys.

It is time to redeem our rank in the War of Crystals event which our guild Don Papa is currently at Team Moon. The guild leader devised a new plan to hold the MVP area while also protecting on which crystal tower to capture first. I was somewhat to hear of this plan as it indicates that our teamwork is improving and we aimed to execute it well.

We came across another strong guild though I am not familiar with the name. Also, there were resistance from other guilds so it was quite a slugfest battle.
