Happy 2014 to you guys! May we have more Gunpla kits to purchase and build on this year. I am also hoping that Bandai would decide to lower their kit’s prices starting this year, lol. It’s somewhat impossible but what the heck, we can’t predict the future right? <span id="more-6108"></span></p>
<p>Anyhow, going here back in the city after celebrating New Year&#8217;s Eve at home, I&#8217;ve decided to have a short build of one of my pending backlog kits. What I mean of short is that the kit is an SD kit of the 00 Qant from Gundam 00 series. It is a bootleg kit I bought ‘last year’ so it is not officially named Gundam, but termed as ‘Warrior’. Hence, it’s shown in the box cover. </p>
<p><img decoding="async" src="http://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853812.jpg" alt="SD 00 Qant" width="520" height="390" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-6109" srcset="https://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853812.jpg 520w, https://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853812-300x224.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></p>
<p>The kit has a total of three major runners and a fourth one for stand. </p>
<p><img decoding="async" src="http://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853813.jpg" alt="SD 00 Qant" width="520" height="390" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-6111" srcset="https://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853813.jpg 520w, https://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853813-300x224.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></p>
<p>The stickers, which is not that impressive and the only thing that give detail to most SD kits. </p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853815.jpg" alt="SD 00 Qant" width="520" height="390" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-6112" srcset="https://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853815.jpg 520w, https://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853815-300x224.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></p>
<p>After a few moments of removing parts from the runners and cleaning the nub marks, </p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853816.jpg" alt="SD 00 Qant" width="520" height="390" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-6114" srcset="https://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853816.jpg 520w, https://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853816-300x224.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></p>
<p>I&#8217;ve started adding the stickers to the green clear part for the eyes and did a test fit of the head. </p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853817.jpg" alt="SD 00 Qant" width="520" height="390" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-6115" srcset="https://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853817.jpg 520w, https://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853817-300x224.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></p>
<p>The major issue with most clear parts is the remaining nub marks that still appear after it’s trimmed. You can notice it here on this clear green part of the Qant sword. </p>
<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853819.jpg" alt="SD 00 Qant Clear green part" width="520" height="390" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-6117" srcset="https://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853819.jpg 520w, https://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2014/01/SI853819-300x224.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 520px) 100vw, 520px" /></p>
<p>The weather got a bit cloudy this late afternoon so my painting of the parts got postponed to tomorrow morning. </p>
<p>Part Two would be the completion, wrap-up and a short review of the kit. Thanks for reading. </p>

<p><img loading="lazy" decoding="async" src="http://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/SD-ZZ-Gundam.jpg" alt="Completed SD ZZ-Gundam with Mega Rider" width="575" height="210" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5930" srcset="https://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/SD-ZZ-Gundam.jpg 575w, https://deathmarked.info/wp-content/uploads/2013/12/SD-ZZ-Gundam-300x109.jpg 300w" sizes="auto, (max-width: 575px) 100vw, 575px" /><br />
My third SD kit, the <strong>SD ZZ-Gundam with Mega Rider</strong> (actually fourth) has finally been put to the completed projects list after I had took some decent review photos. The painting of this kit was quite a challenge, especially in separating the colors of the <span id="more-5928"></span>armor parts and changing them to the correct colors. </p>
<p>As I have noticed after assembling the kit, the size seems to be smaller than that of the SD GP04 which made me wonder why as the 1/144 scale is of a correct proportion. The equipment that comes with the kit though is quite amusing because the mega bazooka actually has a spring inside &#038; a switch mechanism that lets it shoot the plastic rockets. You can have the option to play with it and shoot your other SD kits lol. </p>
<p>Here are some review photos I took earlier today: </p>
<p><center><br />
<object width="520" height="391"><param name="flashvars" value="offsite=true&#038;lang=en-us&#038;page_show_url=%2Fphotos%2F79476832%40N08%2Fsets%2F72157638314922954%2Fshow%2Fwith%2F11189158223%2F&#038;page_show_back_url=%2Fphotos%2F79476832%40N08%2Fsets%2F72157638314922954%2Fwith%2F11189158223%2F&#038;set_id=72157638314922954&#038;jump_to=11189158223"></param><param name="movie" value="http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=138195"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed type="application/x-shockwave-flash" src="http://www.flickr.com/apps/slideshow/show.swf?v=138195" allowFullScreen="true" flashvars="offsite=true&#038;lang=en-us&#038;page_show_url=%2Fphotos%2F79476832%40N08%2Fsets%2F72157638314922954%2Fshow%2Fwith%2F11189158223%2F&#038;page_show_back_url=%2Fphotos%2F79476832%40N08%2Fsets%2F72157638314922954%2Fwith%2F11189158223%2F&#038;set_id=72157638314922954&#038;jump_to=11189158223" width="520" height="391"></embed></object><br />
</center></p>
<p>To conclude, the kit is okay overall because of the gimmicks included and the mega rider which you can work on the detail if given the proper paints and airbrush. The color separation is just the major concern and downside. </p>
<p>Until next post. </p>
