It was sleepless nights for me recently as I watched the coverage of the recently concluded Mythic Championship V streamed on Twitch. The format was the new Standard and could be the basis of another possible banning of a new card, according to the rumors online. It was a fun and exciting coverage as the casters did their role well in detailing every gameplay and match in the digital Arena, in the Magic Arena platform.

The pattern in bracketing of the Top 8 was also patterned similar to that of most E-Sports tournaments and though I am not quite familiar I liked the concept of the winners and losers bracket, giving more chance to the players to come back from their first loss.

The FInals was between Golos Ramp deck and the straightforward Red Green Aggro. It was an exciting matchup but the final game was quite swift as the Golos player had no answer to the Embercleaved Gruul Spellbreaker which quickly ended the life to zero points.

Congratulations to Javier Dominguez for another Champion finish. Here below is his winning decklist on Gruul Aggro:

Maindeck
23 LANDS
10 Forest
9 Mountain
4 Stomping Ground

28 CREATURES
4 Bonecrusher Giant
4 Gruul Spellbreaker
2 Kraul Harpooner
3 Paradise Druid
4 Pelt Collector
4 Questing Beast
3 Skarrgan Hellkite
4 Zhur-Taa Goblin

9 SPELLS
3 Collision / Colossus
4 Once Upon a Time
2 Embercleave
