Blogging and vlogging can be exhausting, especially when aiming to publish content daily. At the moment, I’m doing my best to keep both platforms in sync—making sure that what I write about is reflected in what I video, and vice versa.

But maintaining that rhythm isn’t always easy. Sometimes, the flow gets disrupted by a clash of ideas or uncertainty about which topics to focus on, and that throws off the timing of both the writing and production process. It’s a constant balancing act between creativity, consistency, and the practical time it takes to produce quality content.

I try to manage the confusion by sticking to an ordered list of content themes—like discussing specific deck archetypes or analyzing recent tournament results. This structure helps give my content direction and makes planning easier. However, I don’t always follow it strictly. Sometimes a new idea pops up that feels more timely or exciting, and I end up going off-script. That is because of an instant mood to write about a specific subject.

In the last few weeks, I wasn’t able to do the scheduled postings, maybe because of the burnout while doing the vlogs. I tried to make it more creative and enticing to the audience and subscribers, but I can’t seem to produce it in the output.

I feel that this is taking a toll, thus the blogging part suffers, and I cannot produce the daily articles.

I watch related videos for ideas and methods for reference, and they seemed to be doing well despite being simple in their videos. I cannot help to compare, but then there is this feeling that I do not know what is lacking to make them attracted to my content.

I’ve realized I need to fine-tune both the flow of my content and the timing of my uploads to keep everything more consistent and manageable. There’s still a lot to learn about effective scheduling and adapting content to fit both platforms without burning out.

With the coming of the new year 2020, I decided to order some stuff as a sort of an upgrade to my vlogging projects. I first checked at Shopee if there are some stands that I can use based on my planned setup and angle of the video. There were a variety of tripods and stands for sale and even discounted more when bought in bulk. I then found this small tripod with a cellphone and camera holder that most vloggers commonly use. There is also another tripod that is extendable up to the height of about 5 feet. I have thought that I could also use this in the setup at Reis in covering local Magic: the Gathering tournaments. That I have a test first but based on the product reviews, it looks to be sturdy enough with its locks at the extended lengths of the stand.

I placed the order on December 31st along with the other items that I will gift to my two goddaughters. The total was around 800 pesos and I got a discount on the shipping with my voucher that is expiring and I needed to use it before December ends.

Just earlier today, I received a text message from Ninja Van that they will deliver my order this morning or maybe around lunchtime. I might get to use it later on at the boarding house once I get to check the contents.

I have always wanted to improve the content that I am posting on this blog whether on the topics to write and not only sticking to words and pictures. Just recently, I joined a local Ilonggo group that are into video blogging or vlogging. Seeing their videos got me into the interest of also making my own on a beginner level, on topics related to Magic: the Gathering. I am thinking of starting it on my upcoming Grand Prix Hong Kong trip this September.

That would also mean buying gadgets for taking high-quality videos. I just recently brought a selfie-stick and I am not sure if it can also function on assisting my Redmi phone to take videos of the venue and stuff. I am also a noob with regards to video editing so I will mostly rely on free and easy video editor websites.

For now, I will start on reading for reference on the tips and guides on starting the vlogging gig, the topics to choose, equipment to use, etc.
