Creature sacrifice decks continue in the Zendikar Rising Standard format. This version I am presenting today is somewhat a debuffed version of the Rakdos Cat-Oven combo deck that is one of the popular decks before the rotation.

Today’s deck feature I’ve discovered on MTG Arena Zone covers not only sacrificing creatures but also going with the Clerics tribal build. Check out the decklist below.

This one is quite interesting and reminds me somewhat of the Clerics deck I played way back in Onslaught standard. I remembered that deck is powered by Patriarch’s Bidding, a late-game recovery card that returns all your Clerics back from the grave for another round of threats. Call of the Death-Dweller does a similar effect and is cheaper to cast.

This is a budget build as stated in the reference website so this might need a few uprades later on, such as adding more mana fixers and needed spot removals.

I might try this build on random matches on Magic Arena soon so just stay tuned.
