New Bookshelf Added at the Bhaus

Sunday was a productive day off for the long weekend. The Monday that followed was the celebration of the National Heroes Day and so I decided to set that Sunday for some house stuff like cleaning my room or doing the laundry. That day was scheduled for a few ‘interior arrangements’. The goal was to assemble and set up the bookshelf storage cabinet that I purchased online a few days back. The use was for the proper storage of my Magic: the Gathering card boxes along with the playmats, deck boxes, duel decks and my Funko Pop collection.

As I opened the box, it took me a while to understand the instruction sheet as there are no specific steps on how to stack and combine each of the square after assembly. I have checked a few completed pics of the bookshelf so I had a picture on which aluminum tubes will attach and the woven material will insert into. The bookshelf I bought had a total of nine squares, and I started the base with three squares side-by-side. The stacking was followed by another set of three squares. I followed the one pictured in the item description in Shopee.

After a few grueling hours, just kidding, it only took me an hour to complete the assembly and it is looking great to fit at one side of my room. I took out the shelf first along with some random clutter and started mopping the floor. There were sides and under the bed that was pretty dusted so those were taken care of. I also disposed of some of the extra plastics used for the clothing that my mother brought every week. The pile of cards and opened boosters were sorted by its expansion and the empty packs go to the trash bin.

After drying the floor and a quick sweep, I placed the bookshelf right next to the closet for my clothes and moved my laptop table beside the PC table. Here is what it currently looks like.

The items are looking to fit well in the shelves though the woven barriers are somewhat too thin to carry heavy objects like hardbound books. Anyhow at the least it has organized my stuff and still I was able to utilize the available space on that side of the room. As for the tables, I might buy a wider one soon but for now I will stick with the current one as long as it fits and I can work and maneuver my mouse well.

Next project: a gaming chair. 😀
