Reminiscing San Agustin Days

I am an alumnus of the University of San Agustin and I think my last visit was in 2012 when ICE Rigs held a display and seminar at the College of Engineering and Architecture which was also the college that I graduated from.

I decided to drop by because my teammate Raoul requested to get the Modern deck that I’ll be playing for this weekend’s Wmcq tournament. It was during his class break so it was ok to linger for awhile and check out the new facilities inside.

I am glad to see the improvements as well as the new look of the college buildings. The student center is still there though they got rid of the Blanco park fronting the CEA building and replaced it with a footwalk and the sides with a parking lot.

The canteen is still at the same place and the administration building looks really modernized. The inside part is now filled with food stalls lined up at one side and a square placement of benches for the students and faculty.

After lingering at the park in the front gate where the big statue of Saint Augustine was placed, Raoul left to attend his last class for the day and as for me, I then decided to find some restaurants or turo turo to dine near the side gate.
I came upon the Tibiao Bakery which was still popular back then during my college days. I thought a small snack would be fine and so I ordered their infamous Palabok sided with a ham & cheese sandwich. Their menu seem to be fairly priced but the look of the place cannot deny the longevity because of wore out cabinet and display racks.

As I am waiting for their classes (Raoul, Oliver, Muzzy and Rey) to end while writing this post, I will be wrapping this up by saying that I am happy to be back in San Agustin. Reminiscing memories as if they just happened days ago. I wasn’t able to attend last alumni homecoming event and so I am hoping there will be a next one.
