GP Manila Preparations: BG Energy it is

It was good news for me recently as I will be finally going to Grand Prix Manila and that is because the entrance exam schedule was moved for my planned enrollment to UP Graduate Program’s Diploma in Urban Planning. With that confirmation, I immediately filed for a vacation leave and informed my pool mates of the possible decks available for the event.

They have been hard-testing Temur Marvel and its similar versions recently, finding the near-perfect decklist. The recent two Standard Grand Prix had two Marvels as its champion and so we would expect the GP Manila metagame as almost 50% of the deck archetype. Unfortunately for me, I have had no luck in playing the deck as I always drew my Ulamogs and spun into blanks the last time I did. And so, the resort for me was an aggro deck and I chose Black Green Energy.

With the success at the recent Gameday wherein I finished in 2nd place (and with sheer luck of course), I decided that it would still be the best deck for me to play. I just needed to make a few adjustments in both the maindeck and sideboard.

For a base list, here below would be my current reference:

1 Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet
