My Top Five Prototype Creatures from The Brother’s War

For a quick playtest update, I am yet to test some of the user-submitted Standard decks from MTG Goldfish into Magic Arena. I had to wait until the new Magic: the Gathering set is released in the platform just like a regular player and user. For now, we just enjoy the new Arena videos from the Youtube content creators with some VIP access.

As for today’s blog post, I am to share my top cards choices from the Brother’s War set and the first batch is the Top Five Prototype Creatures. To recall, these are the kind of artifact creatures that has a “Prototype” mana cost, meaning they would be lesser to cast but for a specific color. The setup would be suited for an early cast or late game when you have enough mana to hard-cast them.

Here below are my fifth to first rank depending on my personal view of its uses in the Standard and Pioneer deck builds.

5th, Rootwire Amalgam
4th, Skitterbeam Battalion
3rd, Steel Seraph
2nd, Arcane Proxy
1st, Phyrexian Fleshgorger

I have considered the Fleshgorger as the top of the rank as it uses goes with most of the Standard Midrange decks that caters Black and that the versatility also goes with deck builds that can reanimate it into play for a full use or just plainly hard-cast it seven generic mana. Anywho, let me know what you think of this Top 5 Prototype creatures as to other candidates from the set that may be at par of these five creature choices.

That is a wrap for now. Thanks for reading, and do not forget to check on my Standard deck with Brother’s War video uploads on my channel, DeathMarked TV.

Until the next time.
