So I will be back in Manila again this weekend to participate in two major and back-to-back Mtg tournaments. First up is on Saturday, which is scheduled for the first World Magic Cup Qualifiers. It is a Standard format event and the
The winner will be the first representative of the Philippines for the coming World Magic Cup in August 2013.
Neutral Grounds is the official organizer and promoter of this event and it will be held at their store in Eton Centris Walk, Quezon Avenue corner Edsa.
To my knowledge, only five Ilonggo players will join this WMCQ. I was hoping there would be more of us, but oh well.
Next up, is the Pro Tour Theros Qualifier this coming Sunday (April 7th). For your info, this is just a one-time qualifier event for the country. I am sure there are more events on MTGO and in the United States but for us, we’ll hold only one qualifier tournament. The format is still Standard which is a good thing for us, hitting two events with one trip. We’d just need to pack up possible card choices for our decks in case something comes up, strategy, tech, or whatever.
I am pretty sure this weekend will be awesome so wish us luck to perform well and hopefully win one of the events. By the way, just tune in on my Twitter account for tourney & match updates.
Until the next post.
