Hey peeps. This is actually a late post but hey, its better late than never. I just got too busy at work. Anyway, the trip was last Tuesday. After my off from work, I went to Jaro Plaza to meet with my brother who had invited me earlier to go to Roxas City to meet with his childhood classmate. I arrived there earlier and had to wait for about an hour (and also was fighting my sleepiness). He arrived around 7:30 in the morning, rested for a bit and we’re headed off to Roxas city.
To sum up the rest of the trip, here are the pics.
It was raining hard here in Iloilo when we left for Roxas. Took this while I was really wanting to sleep in the back.
...and now the front view...
My nephew and my older sis also joined the trip. We arrived at Gaisano Roxas and took a quick snack while waiting.
We decided to meet with utol's friend at the city's seafood resto area and chose this stall to fill our stomachs.
The best the store can offer... *drools*
Utols (in yellow) and his friend Magno were in-charged of choosing the menu (and also paying it. lol)
While waiting, I decided to roam around and take some pics. Here's one.
Manang was doing some cleaning of the scallops (that's what they called it. not sure if this is correct)
A closer look. I liked the way they cook the scallops in butter.
The first casualty was this pile of Talaba. I was eating even before the rice was served. lol
We're still waiting for the rest... they really looked hungry now.
Lunch is finally served. Here's the rest of the "casualties" lol
Kainan na!
After lunch, we went back to Gaisano City Roxas to check a few things before going to Pan-ay, Capiz to see the church.
The marvelous Sta. Monica Church of Pan-ay, Capiz
The replica of the church's biggest bell. It is actually the third largest in the world. The real one is located on the church belfry.
A close up on the encryption.
We were actually able to go the belfry and see the actual bell there. Unfortunately, my bro’s cam ran out of battery and the memory card of Magno’s cam who took the rest of the pics broke. Oh well. It was a very fun experience though.
I’m looking forward for another travel escapade this year and I hope Team Videoke will finally decide on a trip despite the busy sked. In the meantime, I gotta say goodbye.
Until next post and thanks very much for reading… 🙂
