Completed Kits: HG GN-X III ESF Type

Here is another post and update on my works on my Gunpla modeling hobby. This kit was of the bootleg version, which they say of 90% of the quality of the original Bandai, which I bought from an online seller.

The purpose was to experiment color schemes though I end up with the same old colors due to lack of choices on the hardware stores.

Despite being tagged as “second rate”, I am still quite amazed of its plastic quality. Still, I encounter the same issues of bootleg kits which are the not-fitting parts which you have to trim first with a hobby knife.

The colors I used are Tivoli Blue, White, Flat Black, Grey and Gun Metal for the rifle.

Here is a shot of my work as I was about to complete the assembly,

and here is the slideshow of the completed work:

I didn’t expect the color combination to look that good since I didn’t snap built it before painting. Anyhow, I am still happy with the outcome.

For the next project, I’ll try to implement the camouflage paint technique. The test subject err kit to use is the HG 1/144 Tieren Ground Type. Wish me luck!
