Greenhills Gunpla Hauls

So after the WMCQ event last Saturday, I’ve got one and a half extra day on my trip to Manila. Sunday was well spent with gf of course and Monday morning was basically my time to shop for some kits before going home. This time, I’ve decided to check out the stores on Greenhills Shoppesville.

There are two major stores located there, the Great Toys Online and Wasabi Toys (which I bought most of my Gunpla kits on their online store). I rode a taxi from our hotel in Makati Ave. so as I could avoid delay instead of commuting with buses and jeepneys. Since I also bought my bag, it would be pretty much a hassle.

Traffic was somewhat favorable that day and I arrived in just about 30 minutes of travel. The driver was not familiar though in which side was Shoppesville so I just told him to drop me on the main unloading zone, side of one of the building complex. I had to ask around on which part is Shoppesville as the place is pretty confusing and not an indicator on which it is.

After a few dilly dally, I eventually found Shoppesville and then I forgot which floor are the toy stores located. With the help of the security guard there, he pointed me to the 3rd floor & across the hall. I caught a glimpse of the GTO store on the far side, ran and finally found the two stores side by side.

I’ve not yet decided what to buy that time so I just took a moment on checking out their stuff. It was like a toy paradise for me with lot of the kits piled side by side. They also got Transformers figures and Marvel and Play Arts.

After comparing the two, I’ve decided to buy at GTO and here are my purchases.

The High Grade 1/144 RGM-96X Jesta. Its Master Grade version was out of stock so I had to stick to a HG version. Yes I know I should stop buying these scale but I’ve heard of its details and articulation so I think it was worth the buy.

The Master Grade 1/100 GM Custom. Since I purchased a Zaku for the contest, I’ve decided to partner it with the MS from the Federation. Their stocks that time were three variations of the GM. These kits also costs less, plus a 12% discount on the price is a good deal. I bought it at around 1.4k.

Overall, I’ve spent around 2.2k for the two kits with the discount added. I’ve also finally bought an MG Bandai kit for a fair reasonable price. There are other worth-it buys from GTO but it was already bulky on my part on carrying these kits. I’ll try buying again on my next trip on the third week, though I think I had to finish my backlogs first. We shall see.

Until next post.
