Work in Progress: HG Extreme Gundam

Here is another update of my other hobby on Gunpla modeling. After completing the first five Gundams from the Endless Waltz series, I’ve decided to try working on some new High Grade kit releases on the previous year, 2011.

One kit in particular that got my attention is the HG 1/144 Extreme Gundam. According to the Gundam Wiki, Extreme Gundam is a Prototype Multi-Mode mobile suit and It is featured in “Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS.” arcade game. It is an original MS designed by Kunio Okawara. The unit was pilot-less mobile suit with containing a bodiless core named “Ex” and served as a final boss in the arcade games. It also appears in Gundam EX A, piloted by Leos Alloy.

My plan on the paint job is to keep it simple with the White, Metallic Blue and Dark Grey colors.

Here are the initial pics I took as I started building the kit.

The instruction manual and other info of the kit.

The kit's cool articulation and other features.

It has five main runners, one small runner and the runner for the polycaps.

Sorry, it was just four pics. I’m still on the process of cutting the pieces from the runners and sanding the excess parts a bit.

For a review of the kit, you might want to check it on the video below from Prime92.

Until next post!
