Work in Progress: HG Gundam H-Arms Custom

Another update on the Gunpla modeling addiction err hobby. As I’ve previously mentioned, I wanted to complete the High Grade 1/144 Gundam Wing Endless Walts series kits. I’ve ordered the three kits but unfortunately the Tallgeese III was out of stock so I got no choice but just to buy the Gundam Nataku and Heavy Arms Custom.

Starting the work with the Heavy Arms, I’ve decided to paint it with Army camouflage colors and referring to Forest Green and Khaki (or Ivory in my case) as the major colors. Also in this project, I tried using the Bulldog Super Glue as alternate for Tamiya Cement. So far it was doing pretty good in hiding the seam lines.

Here are the pics that I took during the building process (had to stick with the phone camera again):

The Gundam Heavy Arms Custom box art.

The manual and the plastic wrapped runners. The kit includes 3 main runners and one polycaps runner.

The armor parts to be painted with Forest Green.

The leg parts which I've super glued first before spray painting them.

Spray tested the Metallic Brown color for the dual gattling guns.

The leg parts primed first with white and then painted with Ivory.

The feet which I took awhile to mask and paint.

After x hours of paint work...

The front waist padding looking good.

The foot rocket launchers painted with Anti-rust Brown.

The gattling guns glued first and readied for painting.

The shoulders assembled after spray painting and paint marking.

Still working and finishing up paints on the weapons as of this post and it somehow looks good with my color theme choices. My current problem is that I ran out of Gun Metal paint supposedly used for the gattling guns. I ended up painting them with Metallic Silver which I don’t know if it will be appropriate or not. Anyhow, we’ll see after the kit assembly.

Until next post!
