A Visit to the Hong Kong Museum of History

While I still have not come up yet with my report on my Grand Prix Hong Kong 2017 main event experience last October, I am sharing with you one of my side trips for the rest of the days of my trip. I decided this time that instead of the usual tourist spots, I went with a visit to their museum. I found one that sort of the nearest from the place I stay and that was the Hong Kong Museum of History. We all know that Hong Kong was a colony before but I was not able to acquire the details of its history in school.

According to the Wiki, The Hong Kong Museum of History (Chinese: 香港歷史博物館) is a museum which preserves Hong Kong’s historical and cultural heritage. It is located next to the Hong Kong Science Museum, in Tsim Sha Tsui, Kowloon, Hong Kong. The collections of the museum encompass natural history, archaeology, ethnography and local history.

With the help of Google Maps, I was able to trace the museum location via walking from the nearest MTR station. I arrived at around 2:00 in the afternoon which is probably enough time to tour the place and the good thing is that the entrance is free.

The museum is composed of eight galleries wherein the center you will start with “The Hong Kong Story”. I think I followed the right path that time which will be told by the gallery of pictures I took.
