The last two weeks got me almost panicking as I tried to complete all of the requirements for the application for the Environmental Planner Board Exam. The main document of concern that time was my Transcript of Records from the University of the Philippines Visayas.
I have just requested a copy for my part-time teaching job and after that, I needed to process a new one, specifically for the board examination purpose. That is having that remarks to the page and a digital copy of my picture printed on it. I filled up a request form for the ToR and sent it to the University Registrar thanks to helping of the fax machine of the GPO office.
The bad news that time though is that the registrar informed me that I have not yet cleared all of my obligations in my student record. That was on the payment of the graduation fee and the lack of one copy of the student form of my last semester on the DURP course, which is weird because I thought it was just mandatory for the college to provide this form to the registrar for all enrolled students in the semester. Anywho, I checked with the College of Management to printout a new copy for me to sign and to send to the UR so I can be cleared and my ToR document released. It was Thursday when I was able to get the document at the GPO office. I completed the rest of the document at our Human Resources office at the city hall.
Come Monday which is the deadline date, I was confident that my documents are complete. Little did I know that the documents listed at the website of PRC have missing items such as copies of ID picture and my cedula. We also needed a photocopy of the office ID of our supervisor (Ma’am Dolly) who signed the Service Training form. I was then rushing to contact Dolly to send us a pictured copy of her ID. It was already 4pm that time and we only got an hour to complete our application. The document was further delayed as we had a hard time to download the pictures to the PC workstation provided for the applicants by PRC office.
The slow internet caused a great setback and so we politely asked the processing officer if we can pass the lacking documents early in the morning the next day. Luckily, they allowed us on that extension provided that we pass the document before 12noon. I then immediately processed the office ID document when I got back at the bhaus. I got my lacking cedula the first hour after office resumed at the city hall. I made a stupid mistake on the issuance date but the good thing is that they allowed the issuance of another cedula with the date of the deadline. It was two quick trips from the city hall to the PRC office in Gaisano City Center and after presenting the final copies of my documents, they provided me a reference number and told me to contact their office one week before the examination date. Job is done though I almost didn’t make it.
The next step is to do my study routine on the topics. Should I start now or later?
