Deathmarked is 10 Years Old!

In the recent online trend of the Ten-Year Challenge, I am glad and happy to share (which is quite late) that I am also joining this one by saying that my blog and domain Deathmarked.info is celebrating its 10th year anniversary. The domain marked the tenth year after it was renewed last January 30th, 2019.

It has been a while but it is quite an achievement to get this far. At first, it was just a simple platform to share my musings on my hobby on Magic: the Gathering and also a few monetized posts that we had been doing way back in 2008. That is after migrating from the free-hosted Blogger account. It then turned out to be my personal blog not only sharing my hobbies but also other things in life that gets me interested.

“Magic: the Gathering and other stuff to think about” has been the blog’s tag line up to now and I had divided into six categories the topics and blog posts. The recent addition was the Book Burning category when I decided to buy books again to add to my collection.

Given my longtime membership on Google Adsense, I only made a payout once. Maybe because I was not able to fully optimize my blog posts and the few important pages, given the on-site SEO practice I have learned back when I was still at Eversun Software. Still, I believe in the importance of quality content which should be prioritized rather than having more click baits.

Wrapping up, I will still continue the Magic: the Gathering posts as my main niche and will also share other musings related to where I am today in life. I had my idle times but I should set my mindset on this regular blog post as less of a chore and more of a thing I love to do. I will thrive to improve on each written content, erase the mistakes and learn from it. Also, having videos for blog posts could be a regular thing. We shall see.

That is about it. Again celebrating, Happy Ten Years Deathmarked!
