It is barely two weeks to go before Christmas and the city streets already look to be hectic. On the way to the office, I see a whole lot of small stalls situated on the supposed to be sidewalks within the downtown district are filled with various stuff for sale that are part of this holiday season.
I see lot of fruit stands, some children toys, gift wrappers and the like. People seem to be buying their exchange gifts and gifts for their loved ones as early as this week.
As an effect, road congestion are intensified making me consider to just walk to the office instead of sitting in the traffic jam. Good thing that passing through the Chinatown road and Central Market, the traffic is lesser though there a few stops to load and unload students from the University of Iloilo. This week is probably the last week of class for the elementary and high school and so the students seem to be busy with their respective Christmas-related activities.
Approaching the city hall, I can also sense the people getting ready for the year’s Christmas Party on Friday. The talk on the menu for lunch and dinner is viral here in the office and the good thing is there is no sing and dance contest among the divisions this time. That, aside from the food, is what I am very thankful for. Lol.
To wrap things up, I hope this year’s Christmas party in every form would be fun for everyone. Enjoy the holidays geists.
