Low-Carb Intermittent Fasting Lifestyle

As this blog posting, I am already past the second month since I started this lifestyle routine in my diet and eating behavior. I can say that this works, as in reality. I can feel the positive changes happening to my body. I feel lighter and more active than before.

Low-carb intermittent fasting is a two-step method wherein you do a schedule of your eating period and during that time, you only eat low to zero carbohydrate food.

Before I started this eating routine, I did some research via medical and health articles and on Youtube where these professionals on the medicine and healthy lifestyle coaches are giving out information and discussing related topics of this.

I have then joined this Facebook group on LCIF and most of the members share their journey and diet and also gained knowledge on the low-carb recipes posted. They have posted a lot of recommendations and recipes but I don’t I can follow each ingredient to ingredient due to lack of availability in the local market and of course as per my budget capacity.

What I did was to follow the basic things such as the diet on boiled eggs, fried pork belly, and vegetable stew. That still depends on the daily menu that our office cafeteria serves. I might substitute pork to the fried chicken without breading and the leafy veggies to monggo (which they prohibit on the diet list) with alogbati. The good thing here though is I can save money as I can only allocate 50 to 60 pesos per meal, and without pork, it is cheaper.

I will wrap this one for now, and I might have a separate post on my daily routine during workdays and on weekends. For those who would want to try the low-card intermittent fasting 16/8 method of losing weight and getting into the right ideal weight for your age, here is a beginner’s guide.

Thanks for reading and until the next blog post.
