My Daily Budget Until Payday

I have been having a financial crisis in the past months and one way to mitigate this is to plan out my daily budget for food expenses. This is very relevant as it is one of the basic needs and that I should focus and monitor how I spent on those.

The office canteen is usually my go-to place for lunch and snacks as they sell dishes of value though lately, the prices have increased. That said, I have to take note which items to buy so as the amount would fit in the minimum.

I had set the amount to be 50 pesos at most for lunch and about 40 pesos for dinner. An additional amount can be considered for coffee and biscuit crackers.

Here below is an example budget for Monday to Thursday.

Monday:
Lunch
1 Utan – P20
2 Pork bbq – P20
1 Boiled Egg – P10

Dinner
1 Pork bbq – P10
1 Nilaga – P30

Tuesday:
Lunch
2 Boiled Egg – P20
1 Monggo Ubad – P20
1 Pork Liver BBQ – P10

Dinner
2 Pork BBQ – P20
2 Scrambled Egg – P20

Wednesday:
Lunch
2 Boiled Egg – P20
1 Pork Liempo (half) – P30

Dinner
1 Laswa – P20
1 Pork Adobo – P30

Thursday:
Lunch
2 Boiled Egg – P20
2 Pork Liver BBQ – P20
1 Laswa (half) – P10

Dinner
1 Pork Blood stew – P 20
1 Fried Chicken – P25
1 Papaya slice – P10

In total I get to spend only P500 on weekdays and on weekend spend another budget for home cooking. I will research for an ideal menu and list of ingredients for that one.
