Unboxing the Spyfall Game

Spyfall-game-unboxing
So I recently bought this party game called Spyfall from NG Spiel. It was a day after the Chinese New Year and I saw their ad on Facebook that they were having a promo code for the occasion. I then decided to check their website if they have in stock and gladly found one. I placed my order and used the code to give me a discount on the shipping cost. I was also glad that they processed my order in just a day and that fast.

For a short background, I learned of the game Spyfall back when during the judge dinner after WMCQ III last September. Sir Ron Joson recommended the game and explained to us its mechanics. The goal is to figure out which of you is the spy and on each round there is a specific location needed for the spy to identify. The non-spy players are handed out card showing the same location, let say a casino, a traveling circus, beach, a pirate ship, or even a space station. Players then start asking each other questions while trying to guess who among them the spy is. The spy doesn’t know where he is, so he has to listen carefully and should figure out the place from the stated answers of the other players.

Each round is timed for about 8 minutes and if the time is up, players may then unanimously vote if who among them is the spy. The accused player then has to reveal his identity. If he is the spy, then the other players win. If not, then the spy wins. However, during the time the spy can himself end a round by announcing that he understands and names what the secret location is. If he is correct, then he wins that round and gets the points.

The point system is not that needed if you are into a casual scenario of just enjoying the game and having fun with friends. Anyhow, we already had tried the game with the rest of MtG Iloilo last Thursday and it was really in fact very fun.

I will just share today the pics that I took during the unboxing of the Spyfall game. By the way I bought this for P1250.
