Magic: the Gathering AFR Standard Deck Update: Dimir Control

Magic: the Gathering Standard format gives way to another batch of interesting deck builds with the inclusion of the Adventures in the Forgotten Realms set. That is aside from the improvement of existing archetypes with new card components that further increase its strategy to win games. For today’s Standard deck feature, we get an update on the Blue Black Control deck that has become a top deck choice in the metagame in recent weeks.

The main plan is just to control the battlefield until you get your Lochmere Serpents online. Just kill them all opponents’ critters basically. The AFR card added to the list is Power Word Kill which is another conditional spot removal but has a high efficiency against the current aggro decks.
