Just moments ago, a Delver-less blue white deck has won the SCG Standard Open in Dallas, Texas. The list piloted by Shane Remelt outlasted William Yowell, Jund Midrange deck in the finals in a grueling three-game match.

Jund’s mulligan to five somewhat mattered in the deciding game wherein it struggled to find lands to cast its big spells only to get countered. Deathrite Shaman worked overtime for turns but a late Geist of St. Traft made a quick clock against the Jund Player. Cavern of Souls did not make any appearance to clear a path on the counter wall, and the legendary spirit did its job until the opponent’s life reached zero.
