The first Magic the Gathering World Magic Cup was a successful event, with the team from Chinese Taipei (formerly known as Taiwan) emerging champion. They’ve defeated the rival finalist Puerto Rico, which previously ousted the Top seed Croatia in the quarterfinals.

Quoting from the coverage site, “Tzu-Ching Kuo, Tung-Yi Chen, Yu Min Yang, and Paul Renie defeated the Puerto Rico team made up of Jorge Iramain, César Soto, Gabriel Nieves, and Jonathan Páez in the finals across the Team Constructed formats of Standard, Modern, and Innistrad/Avacyn Restored Block Constructed.”
