Last night was a huge announcement stream from Wizards of the Coast about their plans for 2022 wherein they revealed the Magic: the Gathering sets for each quarter of next year. The four new sets announced were Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty for the 1st quarter, New Capenna for the 2nd quarter, Dominaria United for the 3rd quarter, and finally The Brothers War for the 4th quarter.

While I am pretty excited for all four new Magic: the Gathering sets, my focus was on the Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty as a rumor mill since last year was finally proven to be true.

Why the term Neon Dynasty? It is said that the timeline is a thousand years in the future, far from the first Kamigawa lore. The theme suits to be that of Cyberpunk comparing to the popular movies with the same plot.

I am imagining Tron characters battling with cybernetic Ninjas & Samurai within futuristic metallic temples and forests.

Anywho, that is the current information of the set for now. With the current pandemic, we cannot notice the time until they’d post some new spoilers from Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty.
