As the blog post title says it, I am to glad to share that the Magic: the Gathering Iloilo Community has maintained its high attendance in its local tournaments in the last two weeks. The spotlight event was during the Friday Night Magic wherein twenty-four participantswas recorded. I was able to attend one FNM tournament and boy it was surely jam-packed. The Promo foils for the Top 4 could be a reason but I personally think it was that vacant period after the players got out from their work or school and to start their weekend by playing Magic.
Saturday Standard Showdown comes in second with at least eighteen to twenty player attendees. That is still a high count despite that some of the previously regular players were not present. I am hoping that this will continue up until the next set, War of the Spark, is released. I am still continuing the player recruitment with learn-to-play and Standard Pauper tournaments and later on encourage them to join in their first ever competitive Magic event.
