Jeskai Prowess Returns in March of the Machine Standard

Jeskai is one of the five color combinations in the trading card game Magic: The Gathering. It consists of the colors blue, red, and white. A Jeskai deck is a deck that primarily uses cards of these three colors and is focused on spellcasting and using cheap creatures that gets better whenever an Instant or Sorcery spell is cast.

One particular deck archetype is the Jeskai Prowess. It was a popular archetype during the Khans of Tarkir standard format in Magic: The Gathering. The deck focused on utilizing the “Prowess” ability, which grants a creature +1/+1 for each non-creature spell cast in a turn.

The Jeskai Prowess deck typically consisted of low-cost creatures with the Prowess ability such as Monastery Swiftspear, Seeker of the Way, and Jeskai Elder. These creatures were supported by cheap spells that trigger Prowess and help control the board, such as Defiant Strike, Dragon Mantle, Stoke the Flames, and Lightning Strike.

In terms of creature cards, Jeskai decks usually have a mix of small creatures that can provide early-game pressure and larger creatures with powerful abilities that can help close out the game. That would depend on the current options that are provided by the legal sets in the Standard format.

I decided to do a quick deck setup for the March of the Machines Standard with the reprint of Monastery Mentor and Stoke the Flames in the new set.

Here below is the deck tech feature I’ve recorded and uploaded on my Youtube Channel DeathMarked TV. Enjoy and please like and subscribe. Thanks in advance for your help geists.
