This Sunday will the second tournament for MtG Iloilo’s Amateur League and the venue this time will be on Critical Hit: Comics and Games in Mabini Street near the central elementary school. I have decided to include the sideboard for this event so that the new players will know how to use this important aspect of the game. The details of the tournament below.

Magic: the Gathering Amateur League 2nd Leg
Date: September 27, 2015
Venue: Critical Hit: Comics and Games
Format: Scarce Standard
Standard format (covers Theros, Born of the Gods, Journey into Nyx, Magic 2015, Khans of Tarkir, Fate Reforged, Dragons of Tarkir and Magic Origins set) with a few restrictions:
Max no. of Rares allowed: 2
Max no. of Uncommons allowed: 6

Tournament will be Swiss Rounds with Best-of-three matches. Players can now use Sideboard cards (must be at most 15 cards) in Games 2 and 3. A detailed article regarding the Sideboard is discussed here. http://magic.wizards.com/en/articles/archive/lo/sideboard-2014-10-20

Random deck checks will be done in-between rounds to assure that they abide by the rules. For reprinted cards, you can check the cards’ current rarity online on the Gatherer site. http://gatherer.wizards.com/Pages/Default.aspx

Prizes at stake will be Intro Pack decks from the previous expansions and the prize structure will depend on the number of participants.
