Magic: the Gathering Kamigawa Neon Dynasty Card Leak – Thousand-Faced Shadow

I don’t know with this recent Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty card spoilers but people in the online community seem to notice the trend of blurry images of card leaks. This is quite unbelievable since today’s era of smartphones can take high-quality pictures even if it’s just a quick view-and-click. Anywho, today’s Magic: the Gathering card preview is a Blue Ninja that may become a vital component on the return of Ninjutsu-based decks in the Standard format.

Check out Thousand-Faced Shadow.

The card text says:

Thousand-Faced Shadow — U

Creature – Human Ninja

Ninjutsu 2UU

Flying

When ~ enters the battlefield from your hand, if it’s attacking, create a token that’s a copy of another target attacking creature. The token enters the battlefield tapped and attacking.

1/1

The card is more than just Flying Men, sure there is a lot of 1/1 Flyer for one but what really matters is the Ninjutsu ability. Dropping it early can pick off damage on opponents and the evasion can enable your other creatures’ Ninjutsu whereas it is also beneficial in the late game. Creating tokens as additional attacker increase damage count and later on if ever there is an anthem creature for Ninjas can be a back-breaking attack.

There would be a lot of interactions in the Ninja if ever it becomes a staple tribal deck in the coming Standard format with Kamigawa in it. It can be just one set to provide the Ninja dudes with the older sets providing the mana fix, spot removals, and tempo spells. We will see more in the coming weeks as the upcoming Magic: the Gathering set is slowly revealed.

That is a wrap for now. Until the next blog post. Here is the Reddit threat of the card spoiler reference.
