Magic: the Gathering Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty Card Spoilers Batch Three

Here is the third batch of the Magic: the Gathering Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty card spoilers with added discussion on each one. We would expect the full card spoiler to be out this Friday or the weekend so just continually check on the mothership website card image gallery for the updates.

Check out this Green enchantment, Roaring Earth:

Another pump source for Green aggro decks where land played gets one of your dudes +1/+1 counters. Drawing it in the late game gets its Channel effect more effective because of the mana sink to turn your land into a big-ass threat as more of your mana is tapped to pay on X.

Next up is Mech Hangar.

This non-basic land pushes for a three-color Vehicles aggro deck which I think will have similarities to that of the Mardu Vehicles deck back in Kaladesh Standard. I will be posting a full decklist once the complete card spoiler of the set is out.

It is a 4-mana cost 3/2 by itself, and having a slow card draw effect may be relevant for the late game. It can fill a slot in the mana curve of Artifact-based decks with Vehicles and other modifications.

Up next is an awesome Jeskai Kirin Spirit creature: Hinata, Dawn-Crowned

Hinata clearly is pushing for a Jeskai spells deck archetype in Standard. It is already a solid attacker by itself, and the bonus ability of pseudo-protection as it taxes direct spot removals of opponents by one more mana cost. You can then add cards to protect it with the likes of giving it Hexproof or Indestructible. This is again another deck idea for my future Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty deck tech blog posts.

Black’s nature of discarding opponents’ hands and worse, getting a chance to play those cards can be back-breaking in their strategy when you use their spells against them. This game plan is personified in this Legendary creature, Nashi, Moon Sage’s Scion. Ninjutsu is the way.

In Mardu colors, it is a good three-drop but will rely on a good land composition in the deck. Having additional triggers is very relevant. One example is Esika’s Chariot’s attack trigger will get you another chance to copy a token you control, at the least is a 2/2 Cat creature token. Another is Goldspan Dragon, getting you one more Treasure token.
