We all know (unless you are living under a rock) that the breakout Pioneer deck in the last Magic: the Gathering Pro Tour Murders at Karvol Manor is the Rakdos Vampires. I personally was happy seeing my favorite tribe get recognition in a non-Standard format and given the strong top-tier decks that are also played in that tournament.
Upon seeing some recent tournament results at the MTG Top 8 website, I saw a decklist from a Japanese local tournament in which his build centers on the two-card combo of Planeswalker Sorin and Vein Ripper. The variance of his build is the addition of Green to open the use of one-mana creatures that can mana ramp into a turn-two Sorin which is a very powerful gameplay.
Check out below the YouTube video of the deck discussion I made and uploaded on my YouTube channel, Deathmarked TV. I do hope that I was able to explain the deck strategy well and I am open to your comments and suggestions. Enjoy and until the next blog post.
