For this coming weekend, we will be accommodating peeps who are new to the game or is planning to learn to play Magic: the Gathering. My friend Rei has informed me before that he got a box of MtG Welcome Decks to be distributed for free for these players. I then messaged Carlo, owner of Hi-Gear gamezone in Marymart if his shop is available for tournament this coming Sunday. Good thing he said yes and so I prepared the event announcement and details. Along with this tutorial session, there will also be a Standard Pauper tournament for the regulars.

MtG Iloilo Beginners Demo Event and Standard Pauper Tourney
Sunday, June 5, 2016, 1pm at Hi-Gear, ground floor of the old Marymart Mall building

New players will each receive a Magic Welcome Deck and Card Lot freebies for them to use for casual play or future Standard Pauper tournaments. Take note that these are of limited stocks so I’d suggest be at the venue early to be listed. Learn-to-play session will then follow by batch of four, which is two pairs that will play one duel game of Magic.

50php entry fee, Round 1 will start 1:30pm. Shadows over Innistrad booster prizes depending on player attendance.
